GTA 6 takes over Miami with supercars, Burger Shot and fake brand ads

GTA 6 cars, a Weazel News van, cheeky Pfister and Kronos ads and a real Burger Shot have appeared in Miami ahead of the game's November 19 launch.

Reported. Established outlets report this. Rockstar hasn't said so.

GTA 6 marketing has moved onto the streets of Miami. Through the second half of October, fans filmed GTA-styled supercars driving around the city, photographed billboards for brands that only exist in the game, and bought meals from a working Burger Shot inside the Miami Heat's arena. Outlets describe it as a Rockstar campaign, and it arrives a few weeks before the game launches on November 19, in the real city that inspired Vice City.

Vice City cars on Miami roads

The first sightings drew attention around October 16, when GamesRadar+ pointed to Reddit clips of brightly wrapped cars filling up at a Miami gas station. According to the fan who posted the video, the group included a Manana, Buccaneer, Tempesta, Cheetah, Coquette D10 and Emerus, all familiar names to longtime players. A second clip showed the convoy driving through ordinary traffic behind a Vice City Police Department cruiser. That helped put to rest early suspicions that the footage was AI-generated.

The choice of cars makes sense: the game itself is on track to break GTA 5's Guinness record for most vehicles.

Cheeky ads for brands that don't exist

The billboards came next. Photos posted on X by Joel Franco (@OfficialJoelF), and covered by GameVicio citing Insider Gaming, show a Weazel News van along with ads for Pfister, Kowalski, Kronos and the Vice City Manatees sports team. Franco said some of them were on a kiosk in Wynwood.

The slogans are the double entendres you'd expect from Rockstar. Pfister, the series' stand-in for Porsche, tells passers-by to "Go Topless." Kowalski, which GameVicio calls a Swarovski parody, offers "Suddenly You Are Big Enough," and Kronos goes with "Always Come Early."

Burger Shot opens at the Kaseya Center

The most hands-on part of the campaign so far is at the Kaseya Center. Dexerto reports that existing food stands there have been turned into Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell, the series' long-running fast food parodies, with staff in GTA-style uniforms and branded packaging. Posts on X suggest the Burger Shot took over a Skinny Louie stand and is selling real food. One fan said a burger, fries and a drink cost him more than $37. Franco's verdict: "crazy prices but it's essentially a Skinny Louie." Over on Reddit, one fan said someone just needs to go and order Big Smoke's meal from San Andreas.

Dexerto also mentions a large illuminated Vice City sign on the arena and a GTA-branded blimp over the city, and says beers from GTA 6 are expected to go on sale in real life. GameVicio adds that the Miami Heat will hold a Vice City themed night. This isn't the first time Miami has played along, either: the city's E11EVEN club recently became GTA 6's NINE1NINE for one night.

What it means for players

If you live in Miami or are visiting before launch, you can now see, photograph and even eat the GTA brand world. For everyone else, the ads preview the parody brands that will fill Vice City's streets, from Pfister sports cars to Weazel News. The real-world campaign also builds on more traditional marketing, such as GTA 6's first TV ad during NBA games.

What's still unclear

None of the reports include a statement from Rockstar or Take-Two about the campaign, how long it will run or whether it will spread beyond Miami. Dexerto says it's unclear how long Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell will stay at the arena once the promotion ends. The reports we've seen don't give a date for the Heat's Vice City night or details on the GTA 6 beers. Franco has said he plans to post a video covering the full set of ads, so more sightings are likely before November 19.
