How much is GTA 6 in the US and UK?

In the US, the Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99. Rockstar announced both in a statement on June 24, according to Bloomberg Línea, and pre-orders opened at midnight local time on June 25. That puts the base game $10 above the $69.99 most big releases charge, as TechRadar and PC Gamer point out. A Dexerto editions page still lists the Standard Edition at $69.99, but no other source uses that figure, and Take-Two's own comments put the game at $80.

In the UK the gap disappears: at £69.99, the Standard Edition costs the same as most major releases, Eurogamer notes. The Ultimate Edition is £89.99, and Gfinity says the UK price can vary by storefront.

GTA 6 price in euros, reais and pesos

Euros: Infobae lists €79.99 Standard and €99.99 Ultimate in Spain on both consoles. GTA BOOM gives the same figures for the eurozone as a whole. Check your local store for any national differences.

Brazilian reais: According to Omelete, the game costs R$449.90 Standard and R$549.90 Ultimate on both the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store, and Tecnoblog reports the same figures. Want a console too? See the TIM PS5 bundle in Brazil.

Latin America: Infobae published store prices by platform and calls its PS5 figures approximate as of June 25.

CountryXbox StandardXbox UltimatePS5 StandardPS5 Ultimate
Mexico (MXN)1,4991,8791,4051,757
Argentina (ARS)113,299141,990118,140147,700
Colombia (COP)339,900424,900276,000345,000
Chile (CLP)74,99093,99073,30091,600

Peru has no localised Xbox store, so Infobae estimates about 274 soles for Standard and 345 for Ultimate, depending on the dollar rate and taxes. Bloomberg Línea's early peso figures were exchange-rate estimates, and the outlet warned that store prices could differ.

GTA 6 price in Canada, Australia, Japan and India

A GTA BOOM buyer's guide published on October 29 fills in several markets our earlier sources skipped:

  • Canada: C$109.99 Standard, C$139.99 Ultimate
  • Japan: ¥9,800 Standard, ¥12,280 Ultimate
  • India: ₹5,999 Standard, ₹7,499 Ultimate

TechRadar lists Australia at AU$129.95 Standard and AU$159.95 Ultimate. GTA BOOM calls South Korea the cheapest storefront in the world but only gives a dollar equivalent, so we don't have a won price.

Cheaper regions tempt some players to switch their console account's country. GTA BOOM warns that both PlayStation and Xbox terms forbid misrepresenting your country to get a lower price, and that caught accounts risk suspension.

Standard vs Ultimate Edition: the difference

The Standard Edition is the base game, plus the pre-order bonuses if you pre-order. The Ultimate Edition adds a long list of in-game extras, many of which unlock as the story progresses, according to Infobae and Tecnoblog. Several are shops and side activities, which drew criticism: PC Gamer and Dexerto both report fan frustration over content locked behind the pricier edition. GTA BOOM adds that you can still get tattoos and customise cars without Ultimate, just not at those specific shops. Neither edition includes early access, Dexerto reports. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told analysts in August that the Ultimate Edition was outselling the Standard, TechRadar reports.

What's in the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition

  • Vehicles: '95 Grotti Cheetah, Dinka Enduro motorcycle and Crest Kayak at Jason's safehouse, Shitzu Squalo boat docked at Washington Beach, and a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy
  • Garage: Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, with a weapon locker and a place to stash stolen goods for fencing
  • Weapons: Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, plus engraved versions of Jason's Girardi ES9 and Lucia's Klose K17 pistols
  • Looks: Vice City Style outfits and tattoos, and Goodtime Gear clothing themed on the in-game TV character Macca the Gator
  • Ultimate-only businesses: Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's mod shops, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305 clothing store, and Electric Fang Tattoo with over 50 designs by the art collective FAILE
  • Mods: Ganado Retro Build modkit for Jason's pickup
  • Activities: a raid on the Ptt Youngin$ gang compound, and the Classic Car Collection commission from the fixer Wyman

GTA 6 pre-order bonus: the Vintage Vice City Pack

Pre-order either edition before November 20 and you get the Vintage Vice City Pack:

  • '55 Vapid Stanier sedan and the Shore Court garage
  • Jason's pastel linen suit
  • Lucia's red sequin mini dress and curls
  • A weapon pattern based on Tommy Vercetti's palm tree shirt

Pre-orders also come with one free month of GTA+. Bloomberg Línea says this applies to digital pre-orders, while PC Gamer and Tecnoblog describe it as part of both editions without that caveat. If you're buying a boxed copy, check the retailer's listing.

Upgrading from Standard to Ultimate

In Brazil, the upgrade from Standard to Ultimate costs R$100, exactly the gap between the two editions, Omelete reports. Our sources haven't published the upgrade price for any other market.

Is there a GTA 6 Collector's Edition?

The sources disagree. Dexerto reported on October 2 that a $400 Collector's Edition had drawn criticism for not including a copy of the game. GTA BOOM's October 29 guide flatly states there is no collector's edition. None of our sources details its contents or links to a Rockstar listing, so treat it as unconfirmed.

Physical copies, Game Pass and console bundles

The GTA 6 box holds a printed code to redeem on the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store, not a Blu-ray. Tecnoblog says boxed copies start shipping on November 12, the same day digital pre-load opens, according to Bloomberg Línea; our pre-load and download size guide covers that part. Tecnoblog presents the change as a way to stop early leaks and says Rockstar hasn't said whether discs will follow. Launch times by region are in our release date guide.

GTA BOOM also reports that GTA 6 is not on Xbox Game Pass at launch, and that Sony, Microsoft and Rockstar have no official GTA 6 console bundle. Some retailers package a console with the game themselves, but GTA BOOM says those deals rarely beat buying the two separately.

Why GTA 6 costs $80: Take-Two's case

Zelnick defended the price after Take-Two's Q1 FY27 results. "Our goal is to deliver way more value to consumers than what we charge them," he said, adding that game prices have not kept pace with inflation, TechRadar reports. Warhorse co-founder Martin Klima told PC Gamer he hopes "GTA will blaze the trail" for higher prices across the industry, while Eurogamer recalls that Xbox pulled The Outer Worlds 2 back from $80 to $70. Fans are split: in a TechRadar reader poll of 459 responses, 59% called the price too high, though many of them said they would buy it anyway.

GTA 6 DualSense controllers

Sony's Black and White GTA VI limited-edition DualSense controllers launch starting November 19 at $84.99, €84.99, £74.99 or ¥12,480, according to the PlayStation Blog. Sony says availability may vary by region.
