GTA 6 dog poop bag attack shown in South Park footage

Grand Theft Auto 6 turned up somewhere unexpected: an episode of South Park. According to Game Rant, Rockstar Games gave Comedy Central's animated series gameplay footage nobody had seen before, and it aired during the show's Wednesday, October 28 episode. The clip shows off a feature few players would have put on a wishlist: using a bag of dog poop as a weapon.

The beach scene in the South Park clip

Game Rant says the clip opens with Jason driving a convertible through Vice City, then cuts to the beach. Jason and Lucia are walking behind a man and his dog. The dog does its business, and the owner bags it like a good citizen. Jason then throws his drink at the man, who drops the bag. Jason picks it up and smacks him in the face with it. The footage ends there, and the show cuts back to its characters getting excited about the game.

Game Rant sees it as more proof of Rockstar's famous attention to detail. Someone had to animate the dog, make the bag something you can pick up, and then let players swing it at someone. The source includes no comment from Rockstar about the clip, though. That leaves open whether any bag of litter in Leonida works as an improvised weapon or this was a staged moment built for the promo.

South Park's running GTA 6 joke

The timing broke a pattern. Game Rant notes that Rockstar has mostly put out new GTA 6 material on Thursdays, so a Wednesday-night reveal inside a TV episode came as a surprise. South Park has leaned on the game all season. In a running gag, characters talk up how important November is, which sounds at first like a nod to the US midterm elections until it becomes clear they mean the game.

The show is taking a break: according to Game Rant, there is no new episode on November 4, and the next one airs on Wednesday, November 11. Given the season so far, more GTA 6 jokes seem likely. Whether Rockstar hands over more exclusive footage is an open question. New episodes air on Comedy Central on Wednesday nights and arrive on Paramount Plus on Thursdays.
