GTA 6 soundtrack: rumours versus songs confirmed so far

Every GTA 6 song and radio station Rockstar has confirmed, from Tom Petty to Justice's score, versus the leaks and rumours still unproven before November 19.

Confirmed. Rockstar Games or Take-Two said this on the record.

As of October 31, 2026, Rockstar has officially named six GTA 6 radio stations, confirmed French duo Justice as composer of the original score, and partnered with Atlantic Records on a 34-track album that arrives in full on November 19. Most of the much longer song lists going around online come from trailers, official previews and leaked footage. Only the in-game radio at launch will show which of those tracks actually made it.

Here is how the picture came together, and which claims have held up.

The trailers set the tone (2023 to 2025)

The first hard evidence came with Trailer 1, which Rockstar pushed out early on December 4, 2023 after a small leak. It was set to Tom Petty's 1989 track "Love Is a Long Road". Kotaku reported, citing Spotify figures first reported by IGN, that streams of the song were up 36,979% on the previous week and had passed 11 million plays by December 6. Petty was already part of the series' history: "Runnin' Down a Dream" played on K-DST in GTA San Andreas.

Trailer 2 followed on May 6, 2025. NME identified The Pointer Sisters' 1986 single "Hot Together" as the main track, plus short radio snippets heard during a driving montage: Wang Chung's "Everybody Have Fun Tonight", "Child Support" by Zenglen & 5 Etwal, and Tammy Wynette's "Talkin' To Myself Again".

These songs are confirmed in official footage. That still doesn't guarantee them a slot on the in-game radio, though, and outlets tracking the soundtrack have been careful to say so.

The Netflix preview added more

PC Gamer's running list adds 14 songs it picked out of an extended GTA 6 preview shown on Netflix. Among them are Phil Collins' "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)", Def Leppard's "Love Bites", Depeche Mode's "People Are People", Prefab Sprout's "Cars and Girls", Cliff Richard's "Devil Woman", Kodak Black's "Skrilla", Birdman and Lil Wayne's "Pop Bottles", Sexyy Red's "Pound Town" and The Bellamy Brothers' "Let Your Love Flow". PC Gamer adds its own caveat: the songs appeared in official footage, but it can't promise they will all be on the radio.

Leaks filled in the gaps, unofficially

Throughout 2026, leaked gameplay footage suggested far more. Rockstar called the leaks "heartbreaking" for its team and warned they may contain spoilers. We won't point to the material, but the claims it produced are part of this story. Kotaku's tracker lists stations heard in leaks, including V-Rock and Emotion 98.3 (both back from the original Vice City), Kaleidoscope FM, Worldwide FM, Radio ON-U, Symphony FM, Stockyard FM, Circo Loco Records Radio, The Wipe, La Ola and Vice City FM. Flash FM showed up in the leaks too.

Kotaku left out songs from the 2022 leak, judging them almost certainly placeholders because most had already been used in GTA V and GTA Online. It also warns that some tracks on its list may not make the final game. Its song list combines leaks, trailers and Rockstar's own reveals in one set, so being on it doesn't mean a track is confirmed.

September 17: The Album

The first official music announcement of the year wasn't about the radio. According to MusicTech, Rockstar and Atlantic Records unveiled Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track record of new music due in full on November 19. Named artists include Fred again.., PinkPantheress, Travis Scott, Yung Lean, Morgan Wallen and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.

Six singles came out straight away. They include Travis Scott's "RHYNO", produced by Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, a rare solo track from Richards, and a collaboration between Fred again.., PinkPantheress, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso and Etienne de Crécy. The announcement called it a "historic partnership" and said the album would sit "alongside the next evolution of the pioneering in-game radio stations, dynamic score" and other musical features. In other words, it's a companion release, not a full radio tracklist. Vinyl and CD editions are available to pre-order.

October 8: six radio stations, officially

Rockstar's Newswire then confirmed six stations, calling GTA 6's radio the biggest and widest-ranging selection in the series:

  • Flash FM: pop
  • Cocoteo FM: modern Latin
  • Back Country Radio: country, with MW and Delta Dawne, plus swamp meteorologist Mud Dog Mike reporting from his airboat
  • AfroBank FM: African music
  • The Chamber 106.6: metal
  • Dirty South Classics: regional rap and hip-hop

The official site now has previews of all six. Rockstar also confirmed on-demand podcasts, a series first. You can listen in vehicles or on foot through headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia's smartphones. The leaked claim that Flash FM would return turned out to be correct.

October 15: Justice and the launch trailer

The Rockstar Newswire confirmed that Grammy winners Justice, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, composed the original score. The same day's launch trailer was set to "Flower in a Hurricane", a new Justice single featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, which is also on The Album. It's not the duo's only GTA 6 track: we've also covered "Pusher" with Gesaffelstein. Rockstar has promised more music news, including the official score album.

The Daft Punk rumour

A leaker has claimed that Daft Punk turned down an offer to reunite for GTA 6. No evidence has been shared, and nothing from Rockstar backs it up. The nearest confirmed link is Homem-Christo's production credit on "RHYNO", a point fan site GTA Intel has also made.

Scorecard: true, wrong and still open

Proved true: the trailer songs (Petty, The Pointer Sisters and the Trailer 2 radio snippets) appear in official footage. Flash FM is back, as the leaks suggested.

Likely wrong: the 2022 leak tracks, which Kotaku believes were placeholders. Rockstar has not addressed them.

Still open: whether V-Rock, Emotion 98.3 and the other leaked stations exist, the full number of stations, which songs play on each one, whether the trailer and Netflix tracks make the radio, and the Daft Punk claim. All of that should be answered when GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.
